CANADIAN LANDSCAPES

In June 2008 my husband and I spent a week on the eastern most shores of Newfoundland. We were fortunate to have the opportunity to watch an iceberg cross the bay in front of our holiday cottage. I completed eight quick sketches (acrylic on canvas board) as we watched the progress of the iceberg over two days and have since revisited these images to create larger canvases, inspired by the powerful experience of our visit to “The Rock.”

Holidays in Saskatchewan and New Brunswick have also inspired paintings, leading to a long-held dream to one day exhibit paintings from every province and territory in Canada.
